The above table shows the internal and surface
temperatures of three 2' x 2' stucco cubes. One with
conventional paint, one coated with ThermaShield IRR
and the final one coated with ThermaPrime and
ThermaShield IRR. All three cubes were identical color.
The use of ThermaPrime and ThermaShield IRR together are more effective than two coats
of ThermaShield IRR as illustrated in the chart below.

Three test cubes, each 2' x 2', were constructed in the same manner as stucco homes with
wood frame, black paper, lath, one-coat stucco and a thin sand finish texture coat.  These
cubes had a thermometer suspended in the very center of each cube by criss-crossing
fishing line from opposite corners intersecting one another 12" from the top and 12" from any
of the interior sides.  The base of each cube was then sealed off with 2" thick EPS foam to
prevent any mixing of interior and exterior air.
The Cubes then had a 6 dry mil
coating applied. Cube A had 6 dry
                                                                              mils of generic architectural paint.
Cube B had 6 dry mils of
ThermaSheild IRR and cube C had
3 dry mils of ThermaPrime and 3 dry
mils of ThermaShield IRR. All three
                                                                              cubes were coated with exactly
                                                                              matched colored coatings (light tan).

The results showed the
                                                                              combination of ThermaPrime and
                                                                              ThermaShield IRR synergistically
                                                                              reduced the interior temperature
                                                                              30% more efficiently over using
                                                                              ThermaShield IRR alone.

                                                                              The generic paint.....well.......it
wasn't even in the same ballpark as
either of the two I.R.I.S. cubes for
                                                                              internal or surface temperatures.
